Position Details
Your main tasks
- Perform risk analysis using technology as well as external data sources for purposes of pricing, trading and authorizing risk acceptance;
- Determine eligibility for policy renewal based on company guidelines and customer retention goals;
- Keep accurate records of decisions made and maintain policy data integrity;
- Ensure that amendments, renewals, reissues and terminations are reviewed and analyzed in accordance with company standards and guidelines and level of authority.
- Carry out a Cargo and CGL risk analysis in connection with the automobile police.
- Act as a resource person and mentor
- Communicate decisions, and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally;
- Maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties, including networking at insurance industry events;
- Communicate with brokers and educate them on company underwriting philosophy, policies and procedures, as applicable.
- Understand and adopt best practices in compliance, internal control and operational risk control measures, all according to departmental underwriting and procedure guides.
- Assist in the interpretation of commercial auto insurance wording, processes, regulations and audits.
- Work collaboratively on special tasks and projects as required.
Your profile
- Have a minimum of 10 years experience in automobile insurance.
- Knowledge of Passport system an asset.
- Good knowledge of the main Microsoft Office suite software (Outlook, Excel, Word);
- Have a college diploma or have equivalent work experience.
- Hold a CIP degree or be in the process of obtaining one, an asset.
- AEC or DEC in damage insurance
- Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written;
