    The Opportunity: We’re looking for a Senior Transfers Administrator to join our Operations team.

    This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 1111 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC.

    Reporting to the Supervisor, Account Transfers and Conversions, the Senior Transfers Administrator is responsible for the daily processing of transfers, reviews and approvals and dealing with escalated items. The Senior Transfers Administrator interacts daily with other departments and at times with external financial institutions.

    What your day looks like:

    • Accurately and efficiently process transfers on all business lines in accordance with company policies and procedures, reviewing and approving staff journals
    • Review and process month end reconciliations within deadline
    • Ensure proper protocol when delaying requests, notes are clear and concise when updating systems with relevant updated information from internal and external sources
    • Use pertinent systems in compliance with company policy and industry regulations (e.g., laserfiche, OSM, Univeris, Dataphile, ATON)
    • Communicate with peers and supervisor to ensure they are kept up to date on any issues/ changes that arise from daily activity
    • Ensure internal manuals are current by updating any changes in company policy, industry regulation and system/ procedure changes
    • Act as a department resource, providing coaching and mentoring to staff and coverage for the team and Supervisor
    • Act as a project lead on department projects and represents the team on larger projects
    • Understands the impact to internal and external partners and clients, researching and promptly resolving escalated issues
    • Provide quality customer service, consistently meeting or exceeding partner & client expectations in day-to-day dealings
    • Exercise sound judgment when balancing the needs of our partners against the needs of the business when handling issues, developing policies, changing procedures, etc.
    • Foster an environment of continuous improvement that leads to idea generation, curiosity, and participation in various initiatives

    Requirements:

    Your experience and skills:

    • High School Diploma required, post secondary education in business or financial administration preferred
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mutual fund or financial industry
    • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC Operations Course is an asset
    • Univeris / Dataphile knowledge and experience is an asset
    • Knowledgeable about registered plan products including RRSPs, RRIFs, Locked-in plans and investments such as mutual funds and equities.
    • Strong organizational, time management and decision-making skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a detailed environment
    • Demonstrated ability to work calmly, accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to meet changing needs and manage deadlines
    • Superior customer service skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties
    • Extremely detail oriented and accurate with solid analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of management and staff
    • A team player who is also able to work independently and delegate effectively to achieve required objectives
    • Highly self-motivated and results driven with an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
    • Intermediate skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
    • Fluent communication skills in English is required and French is an asset
