    The Senior Broker will get results for our customers by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Southwestern Ontario (SWO) Broking Centre. The Senior Property Broker will report into the Property Unit Leader.

    Note that this role will be eligible to benefit from our “Smart Working” philosophy, which supports flexibility in sharing your work time between an office location and your home office.

    What the day will look like

    Working on middle market to large global structured property programs, you will:

    • Analyze client-specific risk exposure and detail coverage requirements; prepare and present marketing proposals for renewals and new business.
    • Collaborate with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage.
    • Continuously work to develop expertise in the property segment through networking, technical training and client discussions.
    • Follow up with insurers to confirm terms of agreed-upon contracts are met.
    • Approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals.
    • Establish contacts and nurture relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best rates and coverage for Aon clients.
    • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business.
    • Collaborate within the SWO Broking Centre, working closely with Account Teams in serving our clients.
    • Review and approve applicable insurance documentation prepared by the Associate Broker.
    • Provide guidance, training and mentorship to assist in the development of Associate Brokers and/or Brokers within the department.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Deep experience in a Commercial Insurance role (7 years or more), with preference to those with expertise in Property Risk
    • RIBO license required
    • College or University degree
    • CRM, CIP or CAIB insurance designations preferred.
