ABOUT THE POSITION

• Generating and underwriting new business with a focus on profitability
• Reviewing insurance documents, new business applications and renewals
• Conducting risk analysis on a commercial P&C portfolio (mostly construction accounts)
• Making prompt and appropriate underwriting decisions
• Negotiating terms and conditions with broker partners to reach mutually beneficial agreements
• Building and nurturing close relationships with clients, brokers and stakeholders
• Representing the company at industry events

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of experience as a Production Underwriter in Commercial Insurance
• Solid knowledge and professional network in the construction insurance space
• High attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
• Strong communication and decision-making skills

COMPENSATION

• Based on seniority level: $110,000 – $120,000
• Hybrid option
• Comprehensive benefits, including education assistance and RRSP matching
