    What You Will Be Doing

    As a Senior HR Generalist you’ll be the first point of contact for employees and managers seeking support in the following HR functions:

    Onboarding: Ensure a smooth and effective onboarding process for new hires. Facilitate and deliver employee orientation virtually and/or in-person sessions. Ensure new hires are properly integrated into company including coordinating with the hiring manager to facilitate a smooth on-boarding process.

    Performance Management: Partner with managers to identify staff development opportunities by monitoring and reviewing work objectives. Build strong managers by coaching and assisting them through difficult conversations and situation.

    Employee Relations: Act as the key point of contact in supporting employees and managers in the areas of employee relations, performance management, compensation, and other employment-related issues. Mediate and facilitate conflict resolution and/or employee investigations.

    HR Programs: Ensure HR programs are successfully coordinated and administered, such as exit interviews, employee engagement surveys, annual performance reviews just to name a few.

    Change & Transition Management: Provide advice and coordinate employee events such as transfers, promotions, changes in schedules, conclusions, compensation changes and various types of leaves.

    HR Compliance: Maintain and revise internal policies to ensure compliance with labour laws. Assist with companywide communication of any enhancements to polices or procedures.

    HR Metrics: Collect and analyze HR data from a variety of sources to create usable metrics. Identifying trends and provide recommendations for effective change.

    Ad hoc: Work with the HR leadership team on ad hoc HR projects. Potential to collaborate with the Corporate HUB HR team on special projects as necessary. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or in a similar role

    Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English, French is an asset.

    Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

    Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office and experience using Workday is an asset

    Knowledge of HR best practices and Canada wide regulations, including the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislations

    Ability to develop collaborative and meaningful relationships with managers, colleagues, and key stakeholders

    Exceptional attention to detail and well organized

    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities
