    Position Details

    Settle or claims habitation, automobile, motorcycle, long haul trucking, commercial, warranty program, etc.

    Determine/assess coverage of claim

    Conduct investigation: statements, establish loss, proceed with settlement, negotiate, etc.

    Determine subrogation potential and proceed

    Guiding and directing external vendors for effective investigation, control and facilitation of claims

    Prepare any correspondence or file reports

    Process payments (or denial) in accordance with established authority

    Maintain timely and accurate claim reserves on files

    Actively manage claims audit program

    Some travel is involved

    Who You Are

    College certificate

    Personal-lines Damage Insurance and Commercial-line Damage Insurance Claims Adjuster AMF permit

    Minimum 5 years of experience

    CIP or FCIP designation or working towards is an asset

    Bilingual English-French, spoken and written. English is required because the incumbent will be speaking with colleagues and clients of other provinces

    Strong business writing skills

    Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, decision making, problem solving and presentation skills

    Ability to multi-task in a claim department with evolving duties and responsibilities
