    Position Summary

    We are seeking a candidate who will act as both lead Product and Project Manager focused on strategic initiatives for HUB’s Employee Benefits practice. Working closely with the Executive Vice President of Strategy & Implementation, the candidate will manage a system and related processes that will enable HUB to a best-in-class value proposition for Advisors/Consultants and Clients. In addition, this role will be responsible for framing and managing product strategy initiatives, working cross-functionally to align goals and objectives, and supporting product lifecycle management.

    The Product Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the strategic initiatives program, leading product and project management, developing and executing on a product lifecycle process, and managing the product roadmap. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, project management, sales, operations, and marketing to drive the development and launch of products and services aligned with HUB’s value proposition. They will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, internal stakeholder feedback, and customer insights to identify new product opportunities, as well as defining and prioritizing the product roadmap designed to achieve the strategic goals of the practice.

    We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of product strategy, project management best practices, planning processes and product metrics. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong servant-leader mentality who seeks to understand stakeholder needs and work collaboratively across the practice.

    Major Responsibilities

    Working closely with the EVP, Strategy & Implementation, the national EBR leadership team, and the regional leaders the candidate will:

    Manage end-to-end product process: Oversee the successful implementation of new products into the employee benefits market, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, coordinate resources, and ensure timely execution. Leverage project management best practices to deliver against strategic priorities.

    Maintain the product & services roadmap: Oversee the creation and maintenance of the Employee Benefits product roadmap. Effectively communicate the key components of the roadmap and ensure that they align with the identified strategic initiatives and the HUB value proposition.

    Define product success criteria and metrics: Establish clear success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of products in the employee benefits space. Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track product performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.

    Collaborate with stakeholders: Engage with regional leaders, advisors, and consultants to understand their needs, gather feedback, and implement product refresh sessions. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively to drive product adoption and address inquiries or concerns.

    Drive product messaging and positioning: Develop compelling product messaging, positioning, and sales collateral. Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value proposition of products to employee benefits advisors/consultants, driving their understanding and adoption.

    Stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape: Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings within the employee benefits space. Conduct regular research and analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement, innovation, and new offerings, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of the industry.

    Qualifications

    Must 2-5 years of product or project management experience

    Experience in the insurance industry, especially in employee benefits, is an asset.

    Bachelor’s degree required.

    Proven ability to effectively manage multiple endeavors in a fast paced and agile work environment.

    Ability to effectively influence and build consensus across teams.

    Understanding of strategic planning and initiative management.

    Highly developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience delivering presentations both in-person and virtually.

    Self-motivated and driven, with a strong degree of initiative and ability to work independently.

    Proficient in MS Office, with a willingness to learn and interact with MS PowerBI and other AI tools like ChatGPT.

    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work, with strong analytical skills.
