As a Marketing Broker, you will provide support to our Commercial Lines Producers throughout our BC region. Through providing support on Strata & Condo placements, you will maintain direct contact with local insurance companies and our HUB offices to ensure we are providing top, competitive terms with the underwriting and marketing information for new and renewal business.
A day in the life –
Provide marketing support for Strata & Condo placements within the BC region and provide marketing support for large and mid-market new business placements within the region.
Provide producers and Chief Sales Officer with marketing support for HUB Top 200 and other regional Stewardship accounts as required.
Offer support to producers in terms of market availability, coverage’s available, and interpretations of wordings.
Work with Producers to develop niche markets and programs and implement same as required.
Fully understand our existing programs and products.
Be fully familiar with wordings and the subtle differences between markets.
Assist in providing training to new producer’s a/o assistants on various C/L products or topics.
Maintain communication with our Key carriers and help to coordinate insurer visits and training as required.
Regularly visit HUB branches and producers to exchange ideas with Commercial staff and encourage the use of the marketing department.
Actively participate in commercial lines meetings as required.
Attend & participate in company meetings as required.
What you will bring to the team –
Minimum 2-3 years underwriting experience and knowledgeable insurance professional; Commercial Lines underwriting experience is an asset.
Ready to work hard and crush goals.
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal.
Taking initiative in continuous professional improvement through training opportunities.
Teamwork makes the dream work. Maintaining and growing relationships with your team and clients.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to bring creativity to underwriting risks through critical thinking and attention to detail.
MS Office Suite experience is an asset.
CAIB, CIP, or working toward designation is an asset.
