What can you expect?
This team supports the Private Client Services (PCS) and Small/Medium Enterprise (SME) business segments.
The GIT team structure supporting this business group is comprised of 3 members, covering an array of activities from run the business (RTB) tasks, to change the business (CTB) projects, and enhancing the business (ETB) using existing technologies or new where possible.
This team is based in Canada supporting offices nationwide (Toronto, Kitchener, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, etc.)
We will count on you to:
Ensure the entire project team is focused towards achieving overall project goals
Meet & exceed project requirements, scope, schedule, budget while adhering to compliance direction
Organize, coordinate and lead meetings
Recommend corrective actions on projects, if required.
Works with stakeholders to implement value and add change across the PM.
Develop and manage end-to-end project plans with stakeholders ensuring that their involvement is accurately represented within the project plan
Partner with stakeholders, architecture, engineering and operations leadership to manage the project to successful completion
Utilize Marsh’s Project Portfolio and Financial tracking tool to perform periodic updates to accurately capture resource allocations, vendor invoicing and impact to financials
Monitor resource/Vendor charges to the project and reconcile forecasts and impact to overall budget
Generate status reports and schedule periodic status meetings to inform project team members & senior stakeholders of progress, budget/forecast, issues, risk and mitigation plans
What you need to have:
8+ years of experience as a Senior IT Project Manager managing Waterfall projects
Strong demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and processes
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong demonstrated experience dealing with senior leadership, and with managing a variety of stakeholders across multiple departments
