The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Customer Service Experience Training team.
Your role will be required to regularly perform essential duties on behalf of the company from your assigned Aviso office. Your role is considered medium flexibility, requiring you to work onsite 1-3 days per week at our office at 151 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON.
Reporting to the Director, Knowledge, Quality & CSE, you will be responsible for building effective blended learning solutions and assets using a variety of innovative instructional design approaches, including blended, virtual, instructor-led, self-paced training, etc. You will be a major contributor in shaping and implementing our vision through various training projects and initiatives to meet the learning needs and business goals of our Customer Service Experience team. This requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners in our various lines of business, direct and indirect influence, and project management. This is a key role in ensuring we can transform and innovate how Customer Service Experience is trained.

What your day looks like:
- Use Adult Learning principles to design, develop, and evaluate training programs for different learning styles and levels of expertise, including the creation of learning assets like interactive workbooks, games, videos, simulations, etc., as well as the creation of facilitator’s guides, job aids, etc.
- Assess and identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver content, including consulting with stakeholders, colleagues, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning gaps and content requirements to ensure our learning programs align with business outcomes
- Conduct and facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for training curriculum
- Track and report on training activities to identify challenges and recommend improvements to continuously evolve effectiveness and quality of learning programs
- Collaborate to maintain existing learning programs, ensuring up-to-date learning materials, training clarity, etc.

Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Excellent at listening, making people feel heard and valued
- A believer in servant leadership; an eternal student of service and learning
- 5 or more years of experience, preferably in a similar role in a world-class customer service environment
- Adult Education certification/accreditation or an equivalent post-secondary education is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across a variety of levels
- Someone with a strong work ethic who leads by example – you work hard, play hard and expect nothing less from those around them
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks while working on simultaneous projects and the flexibility to adapt to meet changing business needs
- Someone who is not afraid to ask others for help when needed
- Not territorial or worried about looking good but would rather everyone look good together
- Proficiency in the following:
- Authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.)
- Learning Management Systems
- Office 365
- Content/video editing tools (Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, etc.)
- Video conferencing platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Graphic Design
- Strong knowledge of contact centre operations is an asset
- Fluent communication skills in English are required; bilingualism in French is an asset
