We are looking for collaborative, trustworthy, positive and adaptable individual to join our Global Corporate Specialty team as an Initiative Lead! In this role you will be responsible for handling pivotal initiatives within Commercial Insurance. The individual will drive multiple projects throughout the full lifecycle; from the ideation stage right through to implementation. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering against the strategic roadmap. This role will be reporting to the VP Operations GCS.

What you’ll do
Accountable for manging the successful delivery of multiple initiatives including scope definition, recommended solution and management of the implementation.
Will simultaneously manage several initiatives varying in complexity and duration.
Manage/supervise ongoing projects, providing the team with support need to make decisions, remove obstacles, meet deadlines and deliver a successful end result.
Evaluate the benefits of each change, associated costs, it’s alignment with the overall strategic roadmap and ultimately prepare and present the business case for the change
Lead a cross functional team of stakeholders (Underwriting, Pricing, Broker Distribution, Systems etc) throughout the lifecycle of the initiative.
Project manage each initiative ensuring plans are tracked, financials are in line with forecasted expenditures and projects are resourced adequately to achieve success.
Engage appropriate teams (Learning & Development, Communications, Change Management) to ensure the successful adoption of the initiative.
Conduct post implementation reviews to assess whether benefits have been achieved. Recommend and implement remediation plans where required.
Provide regular reporting of progress to business stakeholders, including identification of risks and mitigation plans.
What you’ll bring
Undergraduate degree (graduate degree preferred) in business, marketing or other related field OR equivalent experience preferred.
Project management certification / agile certification
Six Sigma/Business Process Improvement certifications
Strong understanding of change management standard processes and project management methodologies.
Strong understanding and experience in Consultative approach and critical thinking to complex problems.
Experience in participating on initiatives that translate strategic visions and business strategies into tangible plans and results
Solid understanding of the commercial insurance market, competitive analysis, product positioning and advanced understanding of product development models.
Solid understanding of Aviva internal systems and technology.
Strong external network and understanding of the sales and underwriting processes.
Strong people management and leadership skills – influencing, negotiating, coaching, mentoring, prioritizing, directing, performance management, development – for both team members and cross-functional stakeholders
Business and financial acumen required to execute project solutions aligned to Aviva strategy and Commercial Business goals and objectives.
Strategically, conceptually and analytically and applying good judgement in develop of solutions to key business issues; able to balance and effectively prioritize simultaneous diverse challenges and conflicting responsibilities
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Positive impact and influence; able to develop and deliver convincing presentations to and maintain sound relationships with key stakeholders.
Self-starter, comfortable in balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment and taking care of ambiguity.
