ABOUT THE ROLE
The Group Benefits Account Manager will report directly to the Regional Director of Consulting, Underwriting, and Actuaries, and work in close collaboration with the Consulting and Underwriting teams. This role is responsible for delivering advanced benefits administration and technical support for groups serviced by the company consultants and/or broker partners
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Provide exceptional administration service and support to clients’ benefit plans by collaborating with the Consulting and Underwriting teams
- Respond to administration and benefits inquiries from Associates, clients, and insurance carriers; and escalate issues as necessary
- Maintain accuracy by updating the company’s Benefits Administration Database
- Ensure proper storage of correspondence and final reports within the benefits document management system
- Review and verify new business applications, enrollment data, and contracts for accuracy; communicate findings to the company benefits team
- Assist in ensuring the successful implementation; of new groups or carrier transfers
- Contribute to the creation of various materials, including presentations, process documentation, and communication materials
- Offer technical underwriting support as directed by superiors
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in group benefits or similar capacity
- Experience in a service-oriented role
- Designations such as CEBS, GBA, or LLQP are considered assets
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize self and others while handling multiple priorities
- Proven ability to handle confidential material with the highest level of discretion
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite
COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary between $64,000 to $80,000 depending on experience
