About the role
As a subsidiary of Intact, Partner Solutions (PSI) is a proud partner with the insurance broker community and offers turnkey, IT managed services. Our goal is to be a digital enabler in this market, offer simple, emerging technology solutions, ensure a safe and secure IT environment, and provide second-to-none customer service.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, critical thinking Finance Manager & Operational Performance to help develop and oversee a critical support team in a growing technology-solutions business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop a breadth of operational experience for a PME that is supported by a large corporation. Your mission critical objective for the first year will be to support the Controller through a transformation phase of this quickly evolving business.
This role reports to the Director, Controller & Operational Performance.
This position is a 1- year opportunity and can based in either Montreal (2020 Blvd Robert-Bourassa) or Toronto (700 University).
What you’ll do here:
Design new processes for new services and re-design existing processes to meet evolving needs of the current portfolio (workflows, controls, accountability)
As a major stakeholder, collaborate in the deployment of new back-office system tools
Support and compliment the planning and project teams by using your governance expertise to provide reporting, control, and rigor in prioritization and execution
Ensure financial, legal, admin, and procurement control and process efficiency, responding to the business’ needs, and balancing risk with agile capacity in this growing business
Oversee financial and administration functions including monthly financial reporting, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Manage the legal and contractual agreements to ensure proper diligence, compliance, and procurement policies are adhered to
Lead financial analysis, costing analysis, and modeling – all essential inputs to the annual costing and business review exercise of products and services
Define and own key success and operational metrics, the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual reports and scorecards on the performance of our business
Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders (legal, internal audit, corporate finance, tax, etc) to ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal / local requirements
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in either, Finance, Business or Law
Minimum 5 years experience working in Financial Planning & Analysis
Strong financial and data-driven business acumen. CPA, CFA, MBA, MSc, or LLM is a strong asset
Creative problem solving: high tolerance for complex and ambiguous business and operational problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial strategies in a clear and concise manner.
Teamwork and collaboration: You are great at managing and working with several different business teams and priorities, creating shared vision and jointly owned goals and metrics.
Exceptional project management skills, leading the ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities.
Strong understanding and interest in information technology and its value to business.
Working proficiently in both French and English is a requirement.
