    Job description: About The Role

    As an Employee Benefits Client Strategist, you’ll make clients successful by clarifying strategies, delivering insightful decisions, and enhancing their employee experience. In your role as a storyteller, you’ll connect strategy dots, using our tools to preview future scenarios. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, you’ll be an expert communicator, simplifying technical information into actionable steps while representing our specialists and industry practices.

    This role is highly visible within the Employee Benefits operation. In partnership with the regional Employee Benefits Sales Leaders, you will help HUB Canada drive organic growth and retention.

    What You’ll Do

    • Convey our HUB Value Proposition in conversations with prospects
    • Assist teams in threading a narrative around the interrelation of a client’s employees, their behaviours, and the underlying costs of those decisions
    • Drive immersive tools with clients to reveal truths about their plans, designs, etc. and align outcomes with their goals and objectives
    • Assist our producers with closing new business by speaking to every HUB specialty
    • Ensure we are delivering the right sales and consulting experience
    • Join large or otherwise important cases as a strategic presence
    • Play a key role at finalist meetings as an Employee Benefits Expert
    • Activate and strategically deploys specialty services and experts to win business, secure existing accounts and evolve multi-year plans for our customers
    • Embrace new technology to aid in telling the right story for our clients and prospects
    • Help provide thought leadership for technical aspects of Employee Benefits
    • Assist with best practices for account stewardship
    • Develop long-lasting relationships with client teams and producers to grow and retain business
    • Positively and proactively represent HUB in meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    What You’ll Need for Success

    • 10+ years of experience in employee benefits, human resources, healthcare, insurance, or a related field
    • University Degree required; additional certifications preferred
    • Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License
    • Proven client relationship record in retaining business and winning new business
    • A consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients, and associates
    • An ability to help our business owners, CFO’s and HR Leaders evolve our service and strategic delivery to move with changing markets
    • A drive to complement a strong team and supplement roles where needed
    • Ability to work with national accounts, companies with multi-national footprints
    • Strong Financial Statement and Budget Literacy to not only support the management of profit and loss, but to communicate our value to financially minded customers and vendors
    • Highly developed organization and time management skills
    • Excellent listening skills
    • High attention to detail essential
    • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills
    • Public speaking and presentation experience, in-person and virtual
    • Strong degree of self-motivation
    • You are influential and persuasive with the ability to partner across HUB and work well with other experts
    • A proficiency in MS Office, and a desire learn/interact with MS Power BI
    • Proficiency in ChatGPT and other AI tools an asset
    • Bilingual in French is an asset
