    The Opportunity:

    We’re looking for a Director, Strategy & Business Transformation, to join our Strategy & Business Transformation team.

    This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 151 Yonge St, Toronto, ON.

    Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Strategy, the Director, Strategy & Business Transformation is responsible for, in collaboration with business leaders, supporting Aviso’s strategy development and implementation with a specific focus on building our “oneAviso” focus across the organization. This role will focus on supporting EC and Board requirements, supporting the development and implementation of key oneAviso initiatives, being the steward of the Aviso strategies working with Lines of Business and Shared Services to communicate and support the realization of these plans. In addition, this role will be responsible for supporting, documenting, and sharing innovation research, market developments and business opportunities and contribute the development of Aviso’s innovation culture and mind-set.

    What your day looks like:

    • Support EC and Board meeting and required strategic development and progression/reporting
    • Providing strategic support on key CEO led projects (ie acquisitions etc)
    • Ongoing competitive analysis
    • Steward of the Aviso Wealth Strategy. Specifically, oneAviso
    • Partner with Lines of Business and Shared Services to promote understanding of the strategy and its implications including; sharing plans, inputs, and learning and how best to focus investment, development, and business programs

    Support key oneAviso Initiatives, Innovation Programs and Project Implementations, including:

    • Business case development
    • Competitive review
    • Clarification of scope across Aviso
    • Determine feasibility and support discovery
    • Support execution to ensure vision consistency
    • Corporate Tools/Communication to support the OneAviso strategy
    • Conducting and documenting research on innovation trends, disruptors, vendor capabilities, competitor offerings and business opportunities within our market
    • Presenting new innovation ideas, emerging trends, new business models and approaches to business transformation leaders and senior management in a clear, concise manner
    • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to help lead and build on Aviso’s innovative culture and mindset
    • Maintaining knowledge of how our business functions and its products and business processes

    Requirements:

    Your experience and skills:

    • 5-8 years progressive work experience, at least 5 years in a related role
    • Experience in product ownership, change management, and project management
    • Comfortable with agile ways of working and delivery
    • Experience leveraging a range of technology solutions to drive business results
    • Experience communicating, persuading, and reporting to business executives
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
    • Experience in coordinating and managing dispersed groups of stakeholders
    • Experience managing and optimizing external vendor relationships
    • Broad understanding of the financial industry and the related legislative and regulatory framework
    • Creative and resourceful, with ability to find innovative ways to provide solutions
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop internal & external relationships and ability to network to build connections with industry peers and experts
    • Excellent communications skills in English are required and bilingual communication skills in French are an asset

    Salary

    This position is posted with an expected salary range of $124,000 – $158,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
