Corporate Insurance / Risk Management / Technician / Administrative / All around Canada
Reporting to the Vice-President, Financial Risk Oversight and Analytics, and working closely with the Senior Advisor, Corporate Insurance, the incumbent will participate in and support the management and administration of the corporate insurance program for the whole of Industrial Alliance and its subsidiaries. The incumbent helps ensure that the insurance program is designed and maintained in an appropriate and optimal way to protect the institution against major events, in line with its level of risk tolerance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the management and administration of iA’s corporate insurance program.
- Prepare reports for submission to various internal and external bodies, including the iA Financial Group’s various boards of directors.
- Participate in claims management by ensuring that the necessary information is communicated in a timely manner to the various stakeholders (brokers, insureds, legal department, insurers, etc.).
- Prepare underwriting documentation for submission to the insurance broker during renewals and underwriting of emerging insurance products.
- Follow up on renewal documentation (coverage notes, policies, insurance summaries).
- Produce, enhance and update portfolio monitoring documents (procedures manual, history, claims, etc.).
- Provide data for the corporate insurance budget.
- Verify renewal invoices, payment transmissions and reconciliations for accounting.
- Manage the team’s inbox, including requests for issue and renewal of insurance certificates.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- College-level technical diploma (i.e. DEC) or training
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in administration, legal field or insurance
- Knowledge of corporate insurance an asset
- Ability to manage stress (tight deadlines)
- A service-oriented approach aimed at understanding and meeting client needs
- Ability to work with and rely on others
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills, thoroughness, integrity and resourcefulness
- A desire to grow in a Lean environment and apply this philosophy to your area of expertise
- Good knowledge of French, both oral and written, due to communications with internal and external partners throughout Canada and the United States
