    HUB Financial, Canada’s largest Life Insurance Managing General Agency requires an individual that exhibits a high level of customer service, can multitask, and is looking for a challenging role. The Contracting Specialist role offers a wide variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to build strong relationships with our clients (Insurance Advisors) through seamless customer service and support in Eastern Canada.     What your day will look like:

    Reporting to the Director, Life Administration you will support our winning team by:

    Educate advisors on the carrier contracting processes

    Help advisors use industry standard software – APEXA – to support contracting efforts

    Review contracting requirements with the advisor when new business is received, and provide guidance and assistance until completion

    Process advisor Buy/Sell agreements on block transfers and reassignments to ensure full servicing and commission changes reflecting the new advisor and HUB Financial as the MGA

    Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with carriers and work in partnership with them to ensure contracts are processed quickly

    Maintain accurate data in our system – WealthServ – including the broker contract, compensation hierarchy, compliance data, and notes

    Ensure advisor contracting applications are screened fully, looking for poor credit, completeness and accuracy. Review all documentation for missing information and obtain all necessary outstanding requirements proactively

    Document and escalate any action required relating to advisor credit, conduct or compliance issues based on facts gathered from Insurance Councils, carrier head offices or other information obtained by HUB Financial

    Follow up with all insurance carriers to ensure all contracting and licensing submissions are processed in a timely manner

    You will be successful in this role if you have:

    A positive attitude, the constant desire to help others, curiosity, and the ability to deliver consistent performance

    3-5 years industry-related experience

    Really strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills (‘this is super important’)

    Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite & most online meeting platforms

    Although you do not require the completion of a post-secondary education, it will help your growth if you have a college diploma or university degree (‘we will teach you the industry specific knowledge’)

    Great communication skills (oral and written)

    Experience using APEXA is an asset
