    The Opportunity!

    The Commercial SRE (Special Risk Extension) Account Advisor, assists the Manitoba Commercial Team with all functions of SRE, including administrative client work, preparation of information to be submitted to MPI, communication directly with Prospects and Clients, certificate preparation, renewal preparation, and fielding client queries by email and phone. Duties include but are not limited to:

    • The primary functions of the Commercial SRE Account Advisor are to service existing clients in a manner that is professional, effective, and efficient.
    • Promptly responds to all clients, Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive SRE inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
    • Reviews instructions from Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive and prepares related documentation, processes renewal/new commercial business; evaluates; processes straightforward mid-term policy changes, and updates client file information in the Broker Management Software Systems (“BMS”) and MPI’s Duck Creek program.
    • Follows up on endorsement requests from insurers and checks for accuracy upon receipt. Verifies with the Account Executive Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive on the account prior to sending documentation to client.
    • Checks all incoming policy documentation for accuracy against what was ordered; requests and ensure required corrections are addressed, once reviewed with the Account Executive Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive.
    • Package outgoing policy documentation in a professional package for clients.
    • Ensures that invoicing is correctly sent and processed by CSI.
    • Maintains statements of value, equipment lists, loss payee lists and other spreadsheets on accounts. Has Account Executive Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive review until proficient.
    • Sets activities for Account Executive Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive to follow up on outstanding documentation such as signed endorsements, In house financing forms etc.
    • Scans and submits completed renewal applications to Account Executive Account Executive, Commercial Account Advisor, Multiline Account Executive

    This is a Full-Time Permanent career working out of our Winnipeg Head Office located at 1661 Portage Avenue.

    What you will bring to the role –

    • Completion of CAIB 1 and 2 (or first 3 CIP courses) is preferred.
    • Current knowledge in all aspects of MPI SRE is required.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in SRE is preferred.
    • Preference for individuals currently handling SRE books of business.
    • Superior Customer Service Skills
    • Moderate practical knowledge working with BMS database.
    • Moderate practical knowledge working with MPI’s Duck Creek program.
    • Ability to multi-task and interact in a professional manner with clients, colleagues, and operational functions.
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move forward the work at hand.
    • Decision making; build a forward-thinking profit based department
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal daily direction.
    • Conscientious, reliable, and pays attention to details.
    • Excellent time-management skills
    • Sound listening and concentration skills.
    • Proficient computer skills with Broker Management Software Systems; Excel and Word
