ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
You will be the first point of contact for all major insurance carriers and underwriters while providing advice to the sales and service team and managing the negotiation process to ensure the successful placement of a wide range of commercial coverages
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Managing and nurturing close business relationships with insurance carriers
- Reviewing submissions, analyzing commercial client coverages (commercial auto and P&C)
- Negotiating terms for new policies and renewals (mid-market and large accounts)
- Providing recommendations regarding new carrier relationships and coverage gaps
- Representing the company at professional networking events
THE REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of commercial insurance experience is required, preferably in an Account Executive/Account Manager/Marketer position at an insurance brokerage
- Solid knowledge of industry trends and current market preferences is essential
- Exceptional negotiation and coordination skills
- RIBO license is an asset
