ABOUT OUR CLIENT
For over 40 years, our client has been servicing business clients for all their insurance needs, they specialize in construction risks but offer tailored solutions for various other insurance risks. Their Kelowna office is a small but mighty force who have major expansion plans and provide lots of opportunities to grow personally and professionally!
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Commercial Marketer, you will use your experience in commercial insurance for underwriting and risk placement of policies for various clients. There is full processing support and necessary training provided for the right fit.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Preparation of documents which may include submissions, proposals, binders, etc.
- Drive revenue by marketing various new submissions and renewals
- Underwrite commercial accounts in line with company guidelines
- Analyzing client coverages, exposures, and loss experience to determine risk requirements
- Maintaining professional relationships with underwriters, co-workers, and clients
- Keeping up to date with evolving and emerging industry trends and regulations
REQUIREMENTS
- At least have 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Commercial Insurance role
- Level-2 Broker license, industry designations (CAIB, CIP, etc.) are assets
- Must be motivated to learn and elevate!
- Experience with Applied EPIC and Policy Works
- Must be familiar with portals of various carriers and MGAs
- Previous Lloyds cover holder experience is a nice to have
COMPENSATION
- A competitive base salary in the range of $75,000 to $130,000 depending on seniority and experience
