ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a rapidly growing Insurance Brokerage group that have operations across four provinces in Canada (BC, AB, MB, and ON). Their corporate head office in BC deals specifically with commercial insurance solutions for their long-standing and new clients. Their commercial is small but very efficient in the level of service provided.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Commercial Account Executive will inherit a $1mn book of business which they will be responsible to service while focusing on efforts to grow the book of business by strategically acquiring new clients. The role will receive all the servicing and processing support required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Cultivate strong client connections, addressing inquiries and concerns
- Conduct meetings to grasp client needs and offer suitable coverage solution
- Seek new opportunities through networking and research and generate leads and expand clientele base
- Coordinate with servicing team on quotes and negotiation of terms
- Present proposals and manage policy documentation
- Assess risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support planning
- Assist clients in implementing safety measures
- Support the renewal process and keep clients informed about renewals
- Identify opportunities for additional coverage and recommend suitable add-ons to meet evolving needs
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations
- Demonstrate yourself as a solid team player when collaborating with colleagues
REQUIREMENTS
- Level-2 Broker license is a must, industry designations (CIP, CAIB, etc.) are considered assets
- High level of professionalism along with solid verbal and written communication
- At least 2 years’ prior experience in Commercial Lines Insurance is required
- Must be willing to drive/commute to client sites for in-person meetings, and attend industry events
- Must have drive for sales, but also a genuine curiosity about client needs
- Experience with EPIC is an asset
COMPENSATION
- Negotiable base salary + commission model (ideally on a draw basis)
- Potential to have ownership of book of business for accounts you produce
