    Mission

    This role is accountable to increase the quantity and quality of the sale of Mortgage Protection Plan insurance applications by providing exceptional day to day support of Canadian Mortgage Brokers

    The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual with a strong sales focus, excellent communication skills, independent work ethic and a driven aim to succeed

    The individual successfully performing in this role would be considered for future field sales roles within the creditor insurance business.

    Reporting to the Manager, Broker Sales Support, this role is accountable for the accurate and efficient execution of the related tasks below:

    Related Tasks

    • Efficiently & knowledgeably respond to inquiries (received through the telephone and/or email). These inquiries typically include compensation, sales tips and processes, Product Training- and general knowledge needed for the Broker to successfully offer our product to their borrowers:
    • Effectively engage Brokers to better understand and anticipate their needs to resolve their issues .
    • Take ownership and follow up with Broker and related business functions until situations are resolved
    • Escalate / facilitate inquiries that are unresolved or outside the authority of this role and team
    • Ensure legal Agreements between the business and Brokers [or Lenders] are signed -executed -authorized and filed in our relationship Management System in accordance with SLA
    • Ensure screening & onboarding is executed accurately and efficiently as per current processes
    • Complete set up of Broker / Lender records in relationship management systems accurately, efficiently following procedures & training provided
    • BRMS- Salesforce-SmarterU- Litmos & DocuSign
    • Know, understand and train/support Brokers on the relative Manulife Procedures
    • Be aware of and follow internal business procedures
    • Engage in education and sales support activities as required –i.e., Make outbound calls to engage, promote & educate Brokers
    • Work collaboratively and effectively within the business and cross functional teams in order to ensure the needs of the client and business are met
    • Actively engage and participate with the Sales Support Team to provide a seamless client experience
    • Provide ongoing sales and administrative support to the Sales Directors / Account Managers
    • Work with the Sales Director and / or Sales colleagues in order to identify and participate in business initiatives focused on increasing the quality & quantity of insurance applications and / or referrals
    • Identify & share best practices and productivity improvements
    • Adhere to the operational requirements of the enterprise
    • Know and adhere to privacy and security requirements pertaining to Broker/client information protection.
    • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours as needed to meet deadlines – regional differences and/or meet changing client behaviours
    • Develop an awareness and basic understanding of Regulatory &/or industry changes that influence the insurance business
    • Have or complete Life Licensed qualifications within an agreed time frame (LLQP)

    Technical Competencies

    Proficiency with common programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Lotus Notes.

    • High quality / quantity experience in data entry into CRMs such as Salesforce and BRMS (Maximizer)
    • Knowledge of Litmos, Neovation, DocuSign is an advantage
    • High energy and strong customer focus
    • Solution oriented
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills,
    • Highly organized with experience in prioritizing and time management
    • Work independently with minimum hands-on guidance from supervisor with regard to position scope and/or planning of work.
    • Is life licensed or willing to become life licensed
    • Ability to prioritize & manage multiple priorities & deadlines
    • Proficient at data-entry
    • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience in sales is an asset
    • Desire to assume a field sales role is preferred.

    Additional Information to Consider:

    • This is primarily work from home and services national accounts, therefore flexibility in hours of work is preferred – the required shift will be 10-6 EST, Monday – Friday
    • This role will support the ROC market, (bilingual in Eng/Fr would be an asset)
    • Work from home will require ability to accommodate home office set up – high speed internet and unlimited phone package or home phone

    Salary & Benefits

    The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

    Primary Location CAN, Ontario – Full Time Remote

    Salary range is expected to be between $41,025.00 CAD – $68,375.00 CAD
