ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This position serves as the primary support to senior leadership in the provision of 3rd party insurance and risk management services to clients within the financial lending space. This is a great opportunity for a senior commercial insurance professional who would like to delve into the analytical intricacies of insurance while working closely with senior leadership.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Reviewing and analyzing commercial insurance coverages, applications and contracts (including leases, construction contracts and other material agreements).
- Gathering data, developing spreadsheets, creating reports and presentations to clients
- Advising clients on coverage details, total cost of risk, risk management strategy and challenges and recommending solutions
- Assisting with the completion of insurance documentation according to the most recent underwriting guidelines
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingualism in English & French
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial insurance, ideally as an Underwriter/Marketer/Broker/ Surety Advisor
- Strong understanding of commercial risk compliance and regulations
- High attention to details
- CIP/CAIB/CRM designations are an asset
COMPENSATION
- Base salary + annual performance bonus
