A day in the life.
As our Benefit Communication Specialist (BCS) on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll apply creative and technical skills to design, develop, and produce engaging visual employee benefits communications as directed by department leadership. The BCS collaborates with management on department initiatives and strategy. The BCS creates templates and custom designs for client-facing engagement materials. The BCS supports select Account Managers on client needs for select annual enrollment and communications projects.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Communication Design or related field (such as Marketing), or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with hands-on experience with InDesign.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 solution formats (Outlook, Publisher, Word, Powerpoint), and Microsoft Teams and Zoom applications.
- Minimum 1-3 years professional design experience creating print and digital materials. Commercial printing production requirement knowledge a plus.
- Employee benefit industry experience working with a broker or insurance carrier a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and colleagues on the phone and in person. Must be professional in both appearance and manner if attending any external meetings.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to proof one’s own work as well as the work of others; ability to work in a proactive manner to consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take ownership and initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and carry multiple projects through to completion.
