The Role:
In this position as ‘Claims Specialist’ you will provide an exceptional level of service to your clients in all aspects of claims support. You will work closely with the Claims Manager, Account Managers and the executive team. You are comfortable in a fast paced, professional environment. The Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing claims advocacy and advisory services
- Areas of liability include: Environmental, cyber, professional, large wrap-up, builders risk etc.
- Conduct and prepare claims analysis and recommendations based on contract interpretation, loss runs, legal documents and policy wording from insurers.
- Claims intake, reporting, file management
- Ensure effective resolution of claims
- Join site meetings when required and consult with claims stakeholders to assist on negotiations and handling of claims including adjusters, legal, contracts and engineers and others.
- Work closely with account teams and clients to ensure exceptional client management.
The Requirements:
- Post secondary education, preferably in business administration or related field
- RIBO License or ability to obtain is required
- 4+ years of commercial insurance experience in a property and casualty or liability claims function
- Experience in construction insurance an asset
- Knowledge of Applied Systems EPIC Broker Management System an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Hybrid role with 3 days required in Downtown Toronto Office.
