    Purpose:

    • Assure safe and timely transport of materials and equipment to the jobsite.
    • Ensure effective and cost-efficient transport and for the project.
    • Budget management of the traffic and logistics.
    • Develop and implement agreed traffic and logistics, processes, systems and tools for successful delivery of the materials and equipment on the project.
    • Manage subcontracts for freight forwarder, transportation, heavy haulage etc.
    • Coordinate with Customer’s Custom’s broker.
    • Liaises with the Project Management team and is the primary traffic and logistics interface between engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and project management.

    • Comply to Worley framework.
    • Comply with Worley and project procurement policies and procedures and act within the limits of delegated authority. Ensure that assigned team members follow policies and procedures, have proper levels of delegation and act strictly within them. Ensures compliance with Worley Code of Conduct.
    • Responsible for managing the entire traffic and logistics flow process –

    Ø Traffic and Logistics planning – development of T&L plan to ensure safe, timely and cost effective transport of materials.

    Ø Traffic and Logistics execution – managing transport and logistics of project materials and equipment as per the agreed plans including managing contractors engaged for transport, freight forwarding, heavy haulage etc;

    Ø Coordination with Customer appointed insurer and /or customs broker – as required by the customer;

    Ø Coordination with other stakeholders – including but not limited to marine carriers, ports, ground / rail carriers, Ministry of Transport, hydro / utilities etc.

    • Create and maintain the detailed Project Freight Budget for equipment and materials.
    • Maintain current logistics data and reporting out including Delivery Reports and status updates.
    • Issue and maintain Cargo Insurance Log for the Customer to report to their insurer.
    • Coordinate with the Customer appointed customs broker and provide supplier documentation packages to ensure expedient clearances.
    • Ensure logistics contractors are compliant and conform to imposed rules and regulations and adhere to acceptable business practises including the projects HSE requirements.
    • Ensure costs remain within or under budget.
    • Assist buyers to negotiate appropriate shipping terms from the suppliers including proving budget for evaluation purposes.
    • Participates in the project risk assessment workshops and outlines the traffic and logistics risks to the project.

    Qualifications

    What you will bring

    Technical and Industry Experience:

    • 20 years’ experience in traffic and logistics in EPC industry.
    • Management skills including team work, leadership and working with diverse and remote teams.
    • Highly effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, including ability to communicate with / train personnel with varying degrees of skills
    • Knowledge of EPC traffic and logistics practises
    • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, cross functional, multi-location team environment.

    Job Specific Knowledge:

    • Traffic and logistics experience on EPC / EPCM projects at Worley or other comparable organisations.
    • Good understanding of the EPC / EPCM industry functional systems, processes and tools.
    • Familiar with ‘cradle to grave’ Materials Management ERM system e.g. AVEVA ERM, SAP, Oracle, SPM, MMS etc. or equivalent.
    • Expertise in Excel (advance level) and Data Analytics, Power BI etc.

    Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

    Required:

    • Recognized post-secondary or university education, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent management.

    Preferred:

    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Mining, Metals and Minerals and Infrastructure sectors.
