The Opportunity:
The Assistant Manager is an integral part of a team and will be responsible for promotion, sales and service of all insurance products to new and existing clients. They are knowledgeable with technical insurance products (personal lines and auto) and will support the team in achieving the goals of the company, our clients and employees.
In this role you’ll:
- Lead meetings with the team and supports the Branch Manager by ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively
- Review and monitor branch reports for key performance indicators
- Participate in hiring, developing, coaching and mentoring agents and staff, including participation in performance reviews
- Provide guidance and support to sales agents to help them attain expected targets
Assist in the preparation of sales and expense budgets
- Assist in the preparation of sales and expense budgets
- Identify client’s needs and provides recommendations for the products and services required
- Promote retention of existing clients by providing quality customer service
- Pursue new business and additional product sales on a continuous basis
Here’s what you bring:
- 3 years of industry experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred
- Previous people management/leadership experience
- Insurance broker level 2 license is a must. CAIB and/or CIP are an asset
- Proven results in developing and leading a team
- A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated business acumen
