The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Accountant, Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Team.
Your role will be required to regularly perform essential duties on behalf of the company from your assigned Aviso office. Your role is considered medium flexibility, requiring you to work onsite 1-3 days per week at our office at 1111 West Georgia St, Vancouver, BC.
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Operations, the Accountant, Accounts Receivable is responsible for assisting the leader with the monthly accounts receivable billing and reconciliations. In addition, the Accountant, Accounts Receivable will assist in monthly variance analysis commentary, project related work to align different accounting practices and assist with efficiency improvement projects.

What your day looks like:
- Maintain Accounts Receivable billing process
- Assist in creating efficiencies within the accounting team
- Analyze trending details and explain variance for month end reporting
- Research and resolve escalated billing related inquiries
- Develop, enforce, and document policy and procedures specific to accounts receivable department
- Create resources for accounts receivable to improve internal controls, efficiency of staff and consistency of processes and procedures
Requirements:
Your experience and skills:
- Post-secondary education in business or commerce, major in accounting preferred
- Accounting designation is not required, however completion of CPA or working towards a CPA designation is an asset
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience within a similar position
- Superior computer skills including ACCPAC and Excel
- Perseverance to gather information from various stakeholders and take the project from start to finish in a logical manner
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Customer service oriented to respond quickly and effectively to non-routine enquiries
- Strong analytical skills and judgment
- Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently to achieve required objectives
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $52,000.00 – $63,000.00 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
