    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide direct day-to-day problem-solving support for clients in relation to their group benefits programs.

    Assist client communication through drafting of formal letters, presentations, reports, and virtual and in-person meetings.

    Help review contracts when required.

    Perform data entry to support quarterly and annual financial analysis for a broad range of clients in a variety of industry sectors.

    Gain insight and build knowledge of our organization, its services, people and purpose.

    Prepare and assist with actuarial valuations and benefit plan reserves.

    Assist with pricing and summarizing impacts of design alternatives.

    Qualifications

    Completed at least 1 internship.

    Completed 2 or more actuarial exams.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

    3rd or 4th year student currently enrolled in a post-secondary university or college program.

    Open to students in programs related but not limited to Human Resources, Marketing, Mathematics, Commerce, Statistics, and Actuarial Science.

    A self-starter with a strong desire to learn about employee benefits and the insurance industry.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

    A team player with a desire to collaborate and assist others.

    Enthusiasm to learn and be mentored by experienced professionals.

    Ability to work independently when needed.

    Effective prioritization skills.

    A positive attitude that values teamwork and continuous learning.

    Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI and/or any actuarial software is an asset.

    This is a full-time, paid internship from May 6, 2024 to August 30, 2024.

    Compensation:

    The expected hourly range for this position is $24.00 – $26.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
