    About the role

    We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team!

    What you’ll do here:

    • Develop and implement a business plan to achieve growth objectives and develop business relationships with brokerages under his/her responsibility that align with our strategic initiatives.
    • Monitor & measure business development activities adapted to the respective realities of the broker profile, and pivot approach and strategies accordingly.
    • Present Intact product offerings, digital tools and educational supports to create and maintain the excitement and proximity of the brokerage network.
    • Know the market and the environment in which it evolves. Monitor all of the company’s activities that influence the business relationships of the firms under his/her responsibility.
    • Advise brokerage firms on marketing solutions to ensure the promotion and growth of sales related to Intact products and services.
    • Scan horizon for market intelligence in order to seize business opportunities and identify threats
    • Collaborate with his/her peer Manager(s) and Director(s) in motivating the underwriting team to achieve a consistent and sustained level of engagement and information sharing.
    • Share network knowledge with the team and act as a business development mobilizer.
    • Represent your role and region on various regional and provincial committees and advise other areas of the company (Actuarial, Finance, HR, Marketing and other departments).

    What you bring to the table:

    • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline (i.e Business, Marketing), and/or 3+ years of related insurance experience
    • Strong business acumen and an understanding of broker operations. Very good management of business under pressure.
    • Good knowledge of the brokerage network.
    • Can work independently and as part of a team.
    • Propensity for being creative in solutions with an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Be an excellent negotiator in moderate to complex situations.
    • Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, organization, and proactivity.
    • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, inclusive of the ability to create and present compelling business case and strategy.
    • Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
    • Strive for excellence and be inspired by the business.
    • Have a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
