    We’re looking for our next Senior Analyst, Tax. Could It Be You?

    Questrade is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst, Tax to be a key contributor of the Tax team. The Senior Analyst, Tax will report to the Director, Tax.

    What’s it like working as a Senior Analyst, Tax at Questrade?

    Questrade is a fast-paced organization where the individual will practice on the cutting edge of the intersection of tax, technology, and financial services. There is a broad variety of projects that will keep you on your toes, given the multiple lines of business within the Questrade group of companies including software and product development, as well as industry coverage on: securities broker-dealers; banking and trust companies; insurance brokerages; real estate brokerages; and mortgages and unsecured lending. We leverage a global technology posture to deliver on a Canadian customer focus, overseeing our main operations in Canada, as well as our network of foreign affiliates in Argentina, Armenia, Barbados, Brazil, India, and Israel.

    In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Preparation of tax provisions and tax modelling on a quarterly and annual basis.
    • Coordinating documentation in support of tax compliance;
    • Tax research and documentation in support of technical positions taken;
    • Correspondence and interaction with tax authorities; and
    • Assistance with special projects on an as needed basis.
    • Exploring new tools and programs within the online and offline technology space in an effort to innovate the field and one-to-one marketing.
    • Leveraging data for customer segmentation and support with the optimum targeted customer communication strategy.
    • Understanding and drawing insights from journey performance reports and customer research to optimize and provide recommendations for communication improvement.
    • Genuinely advocating to create the best possible customer experience.

    So are YOU our next Senior Analyst, Tax? You are if you…

    • You obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance;
    • You obtained a Canadian CPA;
    • You are enrolled in or have completed the In-Depth Tax Program, Masters of Tax, or equivalent;
    • You have 3+ years of relevant Canadian income tax experience;

    You demonstrate strong character, a desire to learn, and an entrepreneurial mindset; * You are goal oriented and take responsibility and ownership to deliver results;

    • You have excellent written and verbal communication; and
    • You have excellent organization and time management skills.
