The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Provide financial reports, as needed, to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal financial regulations.
- Collaborate with the internal team, providing financial insights and reports.
- Continuously improve and streamline our financial processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in service-based businesses.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and using automation inside the program.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Roles & Responsibilities – Bookkeeper
As a Bookkeeper at Chamberlain Real Estate Group | Real Broker, your core responsibility is to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and effective cash flow management. Here are your primary tasks and responsibilities:
1. Cash Management:
- Oversee cash flow through various accounts.
- Allocate funds appropriately.
- Ensure timely payment of bills and adequate funds in the necessary accounts.
2. Receivables & Collections:
- Set up credit card charges and document consent for charges.
- Monitor and ensure fee collection.
- Review and rectify any discrepancies in automated charges.
- Track internal projects for accurate billing and invoicing.
- Handle collections where necessary.
3. Payroll & Contractor Payments:
- Calculate and track payroll costs semi-monthly.
- Ensure employees are paid on schedule.
- Ensure adherence to labour standards and regulations.
- Make contractor payments semi-monthly.
- Handle employee expense reports, including reviews and payments.
- Assist with basic HR duties like hiring documents, helping set up expense and mileage tracking, etc.
- Assist in organizing personnel’s permanent files.
4. Taxes & Returns:
- Prepare, review, and file GST returns.
- Manage year-end review and adjustments.
- Prepare books for tax reviews by external parties.
5. Account & Funds Management:
- Manage float accounts, ensuring cash availability.
- Export and categorize financial entries.
- Handle inter-company charges, reconciliations, and tax strategies.
- Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts, including credit cards, loans, and insurance.
6. Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Update payout spreadsheets to ensure accurate payments.
- Track deals and update the deal tracker.
- Manage document saving and organization for audit trails.
- Tag entries in QuickBooks for accurate cost tracking.
- Record the unrecorded items imported from the bank.
7. Analysis & Strategy:
- Conduct cost-cutting analysis weekly.
- Engage in budgeting and tax planning initiatives.
- Offer insights and strategies to the business based on financial data.
8. Miscellaneous Tasks:
- Handle cheque writing to vendors and order cheques as needed.
- Update vendor accounts and ensure they are current.
- Maintain fixed asset listings and record amortization.
- Record entries for rental property cash accounts.
- Assist agents with queries related to their businesses and tax situations.
