The Client is a leading Mutual Insurance Company seeking a Commercial Property Underwriter to join their team in Waterloo, Ontario.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Underwriting a variety of commercial property risk, providing an opportunity to display your commercial underwriting knowledge.
• Assist a portfolio of Commercial Insurance business’ requiring advanced knowledge of underwriting and a dedication to customer service.
• Daily management of an assigned broker portfolio.

What you must bring to this role…

• 3+ Years of Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriting experience.
• Provide technical advice, recommendations, and critical thinking.
• Focus on building relationships while underwriting and rating policies.
• Strong sales, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to handle complex risks.
• Completion of or in progress toward a CIP designation is preferred.
• Working well in a team environment.
