The client is a leading Mutual Insurance Company seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter II to join their team in Waterloo, Ontario.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Underwrite Auto & Property New Business, Endorsements, and Renewals.
• Develop and apply excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the team.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships.

What you must bring to this role:

• Experience within the Insurance Industry as well as a solid understanding of Personal Lines contracts.
• Proven decision-making and analytical skills, including the ability to determine how to grow business profitability through assessment and analysis of individual risks.
• Post- secondary education.
• CIP designation is an asset.
• Prior experience in Underwriting and rural business.
• Dealing with brokers would be an asset.
