The client is a leading Mutual Insurance Company seeking a Farm Underwriter I to join their team in Waterloo, Ontario.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Underwrite renewals and endorsements according to established underwriting guidelines.
• Establish appropriate solutions for moderately complex underwriting problems.
• Respond to broker requests in a timely manner while maintaining positive broker relationships.
• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

What you must bring to this role:

• 2+ years of Underwriting experience (Farm is an asset).
• Strong decision-making skills, and the ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks.
• Post secondary education in a related field.
• CIP designation is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills
